I also want to have on record my same feelings regarding the Crown Attorney Offices disregard for my Victim Impact Statement to be used in the proceedings regarding Mr. Young's criminal charges. I specifically made known, in writing, my wish to read my Victim's Impact Statement in Court before the presiding Judge. I made it a point to attend any hearings concerning Mr. Young's criminal charges so as NOT to miss that opportunity. The Crown Attorney's Office apparantly arbitrarily decided use a statement I had made for Mr. Young's bail hearing which they did not have my permission to use in lieu of my prepared Victim's Impact Statement. This document was taken out of context and had the exact opposite effect it was intended to, i.e. it somehow was used to support liency and facilitate this miscarrage of justice. I strongly object to this ploy by the Crown Attorney's to facilitate whitewashing the crimes done against us by Mr. Young. As an advocate for victims of crime I would like you to investigate and look into what specifically the Kingston Crown Attorney's Office was briefed on to be lead to believe that the deal made on behalf of Mr. Young by the Belleville Crown Attorney's Office was fair and impartial and not in any way unethical. I also wish you to look into another matter that I felt occurred. I wish to know if the Crown Attorney, Mr. Zegouras, who presided at the second portion of the trial against my husband as a result of Mr. Young's false accusations against my husband had access to the video taped statement Officer VanderWoude had taken of me after Mr. Young again assaulted my husband on or about May 2006. I wish to know who within the Crown Attorney's Office could readily have access to that tape. I also wish to know if the Kingston Crown Attorney's Office were able to have access to that tape, and the tape of my husband Andy Efremov, in making their decision to condone the agreement and plea bargain that the Belleville Crown Attorney's Office presented to the Bancroft Court on behalf of Mr. Timothy Young. I also wish to know all information that was given to the Kingston Crown Attorney's Office in making their decision to support Lee Burgess's deal with Mr. Young. First let me ask you, how many of your clients end up disabled, broke, leaving in fear and homeless? Both Noel and I were in contact on an ongoing basis with your office for about 9 months. Hoping and trying our best to work within your system, so that justice was done. To me it appears that your office is a waste of tax dollars or worse, when or if you feel like looking into this very sad situation you may agree. So please look into this case and find out what went wrong. Then let us know what we as victims of serious and violent crimes could have done better or differently to have prevented this tragic (for us) and troubling case. Basically, a drug dealer moved into the house beside us, he was making and selling to kids. We told him to stop it. He then harassed us, vandalized our home and work equipment, started a fire and assaulted myself with rocks, saliva and his car. However, while he was doing this he was calling the police on me, claiming he was the victim. I installed a video camera and tape recorder to prove he was lying, and show folks what was actually happening. When he called the police i just showed to the police tapes or played the recording. While i was trying to prove he was a liar i caught on video and or audio tape over a dozen serious crimes this person committed. You told my partner you would send her your work and the info about the charges, when can we expect that? Or are you also involved in this cover up? I think it's appalling that your office would use the fact we were made homeless as a reason to refuse to do your job to the best of your abilities, we feel you pretended to care solely to gather info to use against us by the crown. As proof of this, you now ignore us and your promise to send us the info we requested. Maybe you should redefine what your office says it does, to something like facilitate homelessness for disabled canadians who are victims of video taped and documented hate crimes and crimes of violence. It's very nasty, cause someone to be homeless as a way of covering up govt misconduct. Looking forward to hearing from you. Deliberately made homeless by you folks, andy efremov |
