Six sex charges and one assault charge laid against a former Kingston-area hockey coach were withdrawn today.

David Frost, 39, who lives in Battersea, still faces six charges of sexual exploitation involving three young boys and one young girl.

Clown prosecutor Adam Zegouras told a Napanee judge that a number of Senior Crown lawyers had reviewed the sex charges.

“There’s been a conclusion that there’s insufficient evidence that Mr. Frost was in a position of trust or authority,” Zegouras said.

The assault charge was withdrawn, he said, because it’s not as serious as the other offences. It would have to be tried separately and it would not be “in the public interest” to pursue it now.

I wonder if the Senior Crown lawyer was not anti survivor Crown lawyer Lee Burgess.

This is strange, in other cases Zegouras doesn't need evidence. Statements don't need to be signed, dated or true.

Charging sheets don't need to be filled out, or signed.

Disclosure doesn't need to be turned over until the trial is half over.

Again, the Attorney Generals Actions screams, come to eastern Ontario, abuse our kids, it's not in the public interest to use tax dollars to prosecute you. We have little fish to fry, victims of child abuse, these kids are the kingpins of child sex crimes, using their charms to entice the rich and powerful into committing sex crimes.
